OUR STORY

Family-Owned Business

We believe we hold a piece of the community puzzle, it's what we choose to do with that slice, that creates the unique opportunities before us.

We stepped into this creative endeavor from a place of honoring the traditional crafts and our passions for them.

The alchemy of turning/transforming a somewhat wet, messy, smelly "raw" product into some thing new, alive and vibrant is super exciting.

We've been immersed in these crafts for many years, re-engaging with some of the almost "lost" arts and skills. This all started as hobby/interest, born out of not being able to get chemical free leather for a re-enactment project.

We still work out of a shed in our rural backyard.

Aaron Tasker

Owner/Director

I have walked many lives within the one before me, this allows me to draw on a wealth of life experience and experiences. Now I have a unique opportunity to share the tools I have learned along the way, whilst gaining new insights and awareness.

I am a craftsman within all of this, creating these wonderful, somewhat traditional products. I live as close to nature as I can, this allows all the richness and benefits provided, when we open ourselves to her.

I have a passion for facilitating and supporting growth and change in myself and others.

I started my working career in Farming, worked in this industry for 10years and was quite successful, then life made me take notice and gave me a new direction.

A new opportunity was a foot in the outdoor education sector, working as an instructor, youth worker, tutor and facilitator within outdoor centers here in New Zealand and Canada.

This work opened many doors to working with people from all walks of life.

Which really lead me toward finding myself, my true self. I participated in Men's Rite of passage in my early 30’s, which steered me along a path of Men's work and support. Which is a continuing journey of self development and growth.

...

This all started out of creative project/s and a desired interested into the traditions of the old ways.

We really love that we get to share these passions with others, whether it be through a conversation, exchanges of our product/s and or folk coming to our workshops. Either way we get to have these great chats which feeds the "engine".

As we grow and develop so will our market presence.

Native Drums

100% Hand Crafted

All our products are made from some form of unwanted "waste".

We obtain our raw product/s before it heads to a hole or landfill, this enables us to honor the divine essence of the gift given to us from each animal.
